To do: go green this April

Gary Snyder says, “Nature is not a place to visit, it is a home”. On April 22 we celebrate Earth day and it is our responsibility to take care of this home, and do what is needed to share it with future generations.

If you want to adopt new habits that will make you a better person, you are welcome to read the ideas below. Let`s start with some tips and tricks that will help you to feel satisfied; to declutter and be an amenable part of our society:

∴ Recycling – one small step for you, one giant leap for humanity if we paraphrase Armstrong. All that you need is a desire and two or three paper/cloth bags (one for each variety of bins – paper, plastic and glass). The same rule applies to clothes – do not store outfits that you know you will never wear.

∴ Buy curtains – not only they are appropriate for your hygge home spirit, but they can reduce heat gains by 33%.

∴ Eat fresh vegetables – you can find a lot of campaigns in this area (Meatless Monday, for example). The intention is to avoid meat one day a week and invite your family and friends to do the same.

∴ Take the bus – all public transportation is covered in this topic. Not only the air pollution will be reduced, but also economic and health benefits will be listed in our favor.

∴ Brighten your future – use bulbs that can save you money and reduce the carbon footprint (LEDs – light-emitting diodes, for example).

Be constant and make Earth and humanity great again.
